Dedication
It all started in 1988 at the LaGrange
County Fair. When I first saw the French Lop breed, I instantly wanted
rabbits. After making that decision, I got something I wasn't expecting; a pair
of broken black rex from a family down the road! My sister then received a mini
lop from one my mothers fellow teacher friends. In the spring of 1989, I bought
my sister her first Holland Lop, Butterscotch. Over the next few years, we got
rid of everything but the Holland and French Lops.
The rabbits were something my sister and I enjoyed and shared together (that's
where the TJ Rabbitry came from - Todd & Jennifer). To this day if I use a
number in a rabbits' ear it will always be in conjunction with TJ. Jennifer
still goes out and plays with the babies and sometimes will take care of them
for me when I am gone (although this mostly falls upon my mom and dad, as they
are in a closer proximity to my barn).
When I decided I wanted to do a website, I wanted to not only show the breed I
love so much, but share with everyone why I have stuck with this hobby for so
long. I am dedicating this site to the friendships I hold so dear - they are
the people who have made this so worthwhile to me. As we have said time and
again, "Different judge, different day"…the friendships we make are worth more
than any best of breed. The relationships that I have made over the past 14
years keep me breeding and showing - if you get a chance, please click on the
